- 230 g butter
- ¾ cup icing sugar
- 1 cup runny honey
- 1 large egg
- 5 cups plain flour (you can use 2 - 4 tablespoons cocoa power instead the same amount of flour)
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tablespoons homemade mixed spice
- pinch of salt
- 4 egg whites
- 4 cups icing sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Tips : If you want to glitter your cookie tree? Then do this after each piping
layer of the stars. That way the icing is still wet and the glitter sprinkles will
stick much better to the icing. The same goes with the sugar dragees.
For a snowy effect, sift powdered sugar over the finished tree, before
you place the star on top.
