- 2 cups rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons ground flax seed + ¼ cup filtered water
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- ¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1¼ cup vanilla almond milk
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 tablespoon vegan margarine, melted (or melted coconut oil)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ cup walnuts (optional)
Tips: you could freeze the baked oatmeal after it is cooked. It works well cut
it into squares after it is cooled, wrap it in plastic wrap or a freezer
bag and freeze. Then you can just take it out and heat it as needed.
