Banana Pudding with Salted Caramel Sauce Recipe

Ingredients: 


Salted caramel:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature and cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, at room temperature
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
Banana pudding:
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant banana pudding
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup cold heavy cream
  • 6 large bananas, sliced
  • Nilla Wafers or shortbread cookies

Tip:  To make the perfect salted caramel: when you see the sugar turns amber in the saucepan, wait until just a small circle in the center is not quite colored. The sugar will continue to cook, so pulling it off the heat at this point will be perfect.
